FAQ for Nondegree-seeking Students
Earn college credit online without pursuing a degree
Here are some frequently asked questions and answers that will help you gather the necessary information to apply to take Oregon State University classes online as a nondegree-seeking student.
I'm not an Oregon State student. Can I still take classes and earn college credit?
Yes, you can. You may apply for nondegree enrollment to take classes without pursuing a degree at Oregon State. Once you have submitted your application it will take about two to three business days to process, on average. Once admitted, you will receive an email with your student ID number and information about your next steps.
I already have a bachelor’s degree and have been redirected to the graduate nondegree application online. Can I still take an undergraduate-level class?
If you have already earned a bachelor’s degree, you will be considered a nondegree graduate student. This will not affect the price of your course or the ability to take undergraduate-level courses. If you are taking an undergraduate-level course, you will pay the undergraduate price per credit.
