The BSPP draws from economics, political science and sociology to provide you the knowledge and experience to analyze and address relevant issues that shape today's public policy. An interdisciplinary program actively trains you to view the world and approach problem-solving through multiple lenses, giving you a nuanced and flexible approach to understanding and addressing the different angles of an issue. You will be learning from experienced and accomplished faculty across multiple programs who are committed to preparing graduates who can develop and implement innovative, evidence-based solutions focused on serving the public good.

This is a professional school (pro-school), in which you initially enroll in any Oregon State major that meets College of Liberal Arts baccalaureate requirements and the BSPP prerequisites. For example, political science, economics or sociology are good options for ease of credit transfer. Once you are enrolled at OSU and have met all the  prerequisites, including junior standing, you can apply for admission into the program.
